Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industry Corporation (BSFIC) started as a single corporate on July 1st, 1976, resulting in the merger of two separate corporations, Bangladesh Sugar Mill Corporation (BFAIC) and Bangladesh Food and Allied Industries Corporation (BFIAC). Which was established on 1st July, 1972 under 27 no of 26th March, 1972 of the Presidential Order. BSFIC is a sector corporation corporation under the Ministry of Industry
The general administration of the affairs and business of the corporation consists of the chairman and five directors (finance, marketing, manufacturing and engineering, planning and development and cane development and research).
