Which has since become sustainable and was again in the front-line when focus of development shifted to building democratic societies and promoting good governance. About Manabik Shahajya Sangstha MSS Job Circular 2024
MSS is a national level non-governmental organization working to alleviate poverty since 1974 by improving the quality of life of the disadvantaged segment of the society through multifaceted programs. These include empowering the women involving them in income generating activities providing micro-credit, reducing food insecurity, discharging general health services to mother and children, increasing access to sanitation and safe drinking water and providing humanitarian aid to the distressed people caused by disaster. MSS also promotes good governance, democracy and human rights of the vulnerable groups especially women and children through community participation and fostering advocacy initiatives involving the civil society.
Manabik Shahajya Sangstha (MSS)
MSS is a non-political, non-profit and one of the oldest non-government organizations in Bangladesh working not only for poverty alleviation through providing resources but is also promoting human rights, education, health services, working and supporting for good governance and democracy in the society. The formation of this voluntary, charitable, relief and development organization had its root in Dhaka when the country was hit by the worst famine in recent history and a group of students of the then Dhaka Residential Model School started a movement titled “Clothe the” which relentlessly worked to mitigate the sufferings of the famine stricken people in 1974.
Training Center of MSS
MSS with its contribution and with the financial assistance of Japan embassy in Bangladesh. Built a Community Based Resource Center (CBRC) in Saidpur Upazilla of Nilphamari district in December 2010. Equipped with state of the art facilities the resource center is aimed at developing human resources providing training to the local community people and members of MSS to enhance skills and involve them in income generating activities.
