On May 27 this year, the 46th BCS Preliminary Examination was held in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi, Khulna, Barisal, Sylhet, Rangpur and Mymensingh. The application time of BCS was extended in several stages. 4 lakh 35 thousand 190 applications were submitted in 46th BCS.

The PSC had extended the application time for the 46th BCS in three phases due to non-completion of final examinations in different universities. In the notice of 46th BCS, it has informed that 1 thousand 814 officers will take in different cadres in this BCS.
