Verification of whether birth Certificate is online or not
To check whether birth certificate is online or not, 17 digit birth registration number is required. If the birth registration number of a Bangladeshi citizen is 17 digits, it has already been submitted online. Because, all the old birth registrations of the country have been converted to 17 digits while uploading to the bdris server.

But if your birth registration registration number is 16 digits, then you need to check if it is available online. Online verification cannot be done directly with 16 digit birth registration number. So add 0 (zero) before the last 5 digits of the registration number to make 17 visit number. Then check birth registration online by following rules:
- First visit, https://everify.bdris.gov.bd/ – this link.
- On entering the search page, enter your 17-digit birth registration number.
- Enter date of birth in YYYY-MM-DD (year-month-day) format in 2nd cell.
- Enter captcha or math problem answer in the last cell.
- Now click on Search button.
- If your certificate is online, you will see the information page stored on the server. If the birth registration is not done online, it will show ‘No Result Found’. Moreover, if the birth registration is not done in English, there will be only Bengali information. If your registration is online you can download birth registration certificate and use it.

Birth certificate can be checked by visiting the birth and death registration website with your own mobile phone. For this you will need only birth registration number and date of birth. Step 1: Login to Birth and Death Registration website
To verify the birth certificate, one has to search the website of the Registrar General’s office, local government department for registration of births and deaths. The only official website for birth certificate verification is bdris.gov.bd. Visit the link everify.bdris.gov.bd to directly access the registration verification page. Here you will see a verification page with 3 cells to verify the information.
- Enter “17 digits Birth Registration Number” and “Date of Birth” of a person to verify the Birth Record.

Step 2: Enter Birth Registration Number
Enter your birth certificate registration number. 17 digit registration number must be entered here. If the registration number is 16 digits, add 0 (zero) before the last 4 digits and write the 17 digit number. Eg: birth registration verification 19850915454107351.
Step 3: Provide date of birth
Enter the correct date of birth as per your birth certificate in the 2nd cell. Clicking on this cell will bring up a calendar option. From there select the day, month and year of your birth date.
Or, you can enter the date of birth directly if you prefer. In that case enter the date of birth in YYYY-MM-DD (year-month-day) format.
Step 4: Fill the captcha
A capture solution needs to complete for human verification on birth certificate verification page. Captchas on these webpages are usually addition/subtraction math problems. Solve the mathematical problem/number in the above image and write the result in the ‘The answer is’ box below.

For example, in the image below, the math problem is given as ’17+37=?’ Here add 17 and 37 together and enter the result 54 in the ‘The answer is’ cell.
Step 5: Search Birth Registration
After filling birth registration number, date of birth and captcha, click on search button below. If all the information provided by you is correct, you will see the registration information on the server. However, if the above information is not correct or if the birth registration is not done online/digitally, you will see the text No Result Found.
If you do not see any information after inputting the correct information, then it must be assumed that your birth registration has not been done online. You need to contact your local registrar office (Union Parishad, City Corporation, Municipality) to do it online. Also you can apply for new birth registration online.
Step 6: Birth Registration Certificate Online Copy Details
After checking the birth certificate online, the registration information on the server is displayed. The information contained in a server copy of birth registration is:
- Registrant’s birth registration number;
- Registrant’s date of birth;
- Registrant’s gender;
- Names of registrant and his/her parents in Bengali and English;
- Date of registration and date of issue of birth certificate;
- Separate QR Code for Unique Birth Registration Certificate;
- Complete address information;
- Other information automatically displayed by the server;
- Government logo and digital seal etc.
- Unlike an original or a birth certificate issued by the Union Parishad, it will not bear the signature of the Chairman/UP Secretary.
Step 7: Online copy print of birth certificate
After completing the birth registration verification process, the online copy obtained can be printed from the server and used in all cases. Press Ctrl + P on your keyboard from the respective webpage to print this online committee.
Now a print dialog box will appear on your computer screen. From here you can change the Print Preference as needed by going to the Print Destination, Pages, Layout, Color and More settings option to print the server copy. If you don’t want to change anything, click the ‘Print’ button below to print the server copy from the printer connected to the computer.
You can print only if the printer is connected to the computer. Alternatively, you can save a PDF copy of this file on your device and print it later.
Birth Certificate Online Copy Download
After checking the birth certificate from the server, you can download the birth registration verification copy. If you do not have a printer connected to your computer, you can download and save the verified copy.
For this, press Ctrl + P together from the keyboard. Now Print Preference will open. Next to the server copy, change the ‘Destination’ option to Microsoft Print to PDF and select the Save to PDF option. Then you will see Save option instead of Print option below. From here you can save the PDF copy in the computer file of your choice by clicking the Save button.
