Instructions to Candidates
Applications in Form Z83 must need to send to the department where the vacancy/vacancy exists (s) with full details of the applicants’ training, qualifications, skills, knowledge and experience (on a separate sheet or in a CV if necessary). Applicants must indicate the vacancy reference number in their application form. Applicants requiring additional information regarding an advertised post must direct their inquiries to the department where the vacancy exists. Public service and administration departments should not approach for such information. It should ensure that applications reach the relevant advertisement departments on or before the applicable closing date.

The contents of this circular should brought to the attention of all employees. It should ensure that the additional declared employees informed about the advertised vacancies. Additional groups of potential candidates should be assisted to apply for vacancies in a timely manner and, where applicable, attend interviews. Where vacancies are identified for promoting representation, the provisions of Sections 15 (Affirmative Action Arrangements) and 20 (Employment Equity Plans) of the Employment Equity Act, 1998 should apply. The advertisement of such vacancies should state that it is for the purpose of promoting representation by filling up the vacancies and the candidature of persons whose transfer/recruitment will promote representation shall give priority. Candidates are to evaluate and selected as per the relevant measures applicable to public service jobs.
