According to the new announcement in the notice, the increase in fuel prices will be effective from midnight on Friday. Earlier on Friday afternoon, while talking to the media persons in Baridhara of the capital, the Minister of State for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid hinted at the increase in the price of gas, electricity and fuel oil. He said, in the context of rising prices in the world market, it is time to raise the prices of diesel, petrol, octane, gas and electricity to a reasonable level.
Fuel oil prices in January 2026
The state minister emphasised the potential for cost savings through the automation of management and administration, suggesting that prices could decrease further if the global market remains stable. দেশের বাজারে সব ধরনের জ্বালানি তেলের দাম কমেছে। জানুয়ারি মাসের জন্য ডিজেল, কেরোসিন, পেট্রোল ও অকটেনের দাম লিটারে ২ টাকা কমানো হয়েছে। নতুন দর অনুযায়ী, প্রতি লিটার ডিজেলের দাম ২ টাকা কমে ১০২ টাকা, কেরোসিন লিটারে ২ টাকা ১১৪ টাকা, পেট্রলের দাম ২ টাকা কমে ১১৮ টাকা এবং অকটেনের দাম লিটারে ২ টাকা কমে ১২২ টাকা নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে। বুধবার (৩১ ডিসেম্বর) রাতে জ্বালানি ও খনিজ সম্পদ বিভাগ এ সংক্রান্ত প্রজ্ঞাপন জারি করেছে।

প্রজ্ঞাপনে বলা হয়, বিশ্ববাজারের সঙ্গে জ্বালানি তেলের মূল্য সমন্বয় করতে ডিজেল ১০২ টাকা, কেরোসিন ১১৪ টাকা, পেট্রোল ১১৮ টাকা এবং অকটেন ১২২ টাকা নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে।
বৃহস্পতিবার (১ জানুয়ারি) থেকে এ নতুন দর কার্যকর হবে। জানা গেছে, বিশ্ববাজারের সঙ্গে সামঞ্জস্য রেখে জ্বালানি তেলের স্বয়ংক্রিয় মূল্য নির্ধারণ গত বছরের মার্চ থেকে শুরু করেছে সরকার। সে হিসেবে প্রতি মাসে নতুন দাম ঘোষণা করা হচ্ছে। বর্তমানে জ্বালানি তেলের দর নির্ধারণ ছাড়াও আন্তর্জাতিক বাজারের সঙ্গে মিল রেখে প্রতি মাসে তরলীকৃত পেট্রোলিয়াম গ্যাসের (এলপিজি) দাম নির্ধারণ করে বাংলাদেশ এনার্জি রেগুলেটরি কমিশন (বিইআরসি)।
নসরুল হামিদ বলেন, বিশ্ব বাজারের সাথে এখন দাম সমন্বয় না করলে অনেক ক্ষতি হয়ে যাবে.
তিনি বলেন, জনবান্ধব আওয়ামী লীগ সরকার সব সময় আমজনতার স্বস্তি ও স্বাচ্ছন্দ্য বিবেচনা করে সিদ্ধান্ত নেয়. যতদিন সম্ভব ছিল ততদিন সরকার জ্বালানি তেলের মূল্য বৃদ্ধির চিন্তা করে নাই. অবস্থার পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে অনেকটা নিরুপায় হয়েই কিছুটা এডজাস্টমেন্টে যেতে হচ্ছে। ২০১৬ সালের এপ্রিল মাসে সরকার জ্বালানি তেলের মূল্য কমিয়ে দিয়েছিল. পরিস্থিতি স্বাভাবিক হলে সে অনুযায়ী জ্বালানি তেলের মূল্য পুনঃবিবেচনা করা হবে।
