According to the new announcement in the notice, the increase in fuel prices will be effective from midnight on Friday. Earlier on Friday afternoon, while talking to the media persons in Baridhara of the capital, the Minister of State for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid hinted at the increase in the price of gas, electricity and fuel oil. He said, in the context of rising prices in the world market, it is time to raise the prices of diesel, petrol, octane, gas and electricity to a reasonable level.
Fuel oil prices in April 2026
The state minister emphasised the potential for cost savings through the automation of management and administration, suggesting that prices could decrease further if the global market remains stable. On Tuesday, Hamid hinted at a slight reduction in the prices of petrol, octane, diesel, and kerosene as part of the initial price adjustment under the new system. However, specific details on the price reduction were not provided yet.

Diesel, Petrol & Octane Price in Bangladesh 2026
Nasrul Hamid said that if the price has not been adjusted to match the world market now, it will cause significant damage. He said that the people-friendly Awami League government always makes decisions considering the comfort and convenience of our people.

দেশে জ্বালানি তেলের নতুন দাম ঘোষণা, রোববার থেকেই কার্যকর
দেশে জ্বালানি তেলের নতুন দাম নির্ধারণ করেছে সরকার। প্রতি লিটার ডিজেলের দাম ১১৫ টাকা, অকটেন ১৪০ টাকা ও প্রতি লিটার পেট্রোলের দাম নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে ১৩৫ টাকা। এছাড়া প্রতি লিটার কেরোসিনের নতুন দাম নির্ধারণ করা হয়েছে ১৩০ টাকা।
শনিবার (১৮ এপ্রিল) রাতে এক বিজ্ঞপ্তিতে নতুন এই দাম ঘোষণা করে বিদ্যুৎ জ্বালানি ও খনিজ সম্পদ বিভাগ। রোববার থেকেই নতুন দর কার্যকর হবে।
আজকের জ্বালানি তেলের দাম ২০২৬ বাংলাদেশ (19th April ২০২৬)
- ডিজেল ১১৫ টাকা
- কেরোসিন ১৩০ টাকা
- পেট্রোল ১৩৫ টাকা
- অকটেন ১৪০ টাকা
সবমিলিয়ে গত ১ ফেব্রুয়ারি নির্ধারিত দামের তুলনায় দেশে সব ধরনের জ্বালানি তেলের দাম উল্লেখযোগ্যভাবে বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। নতুন সমন্বয়ে ডিজেল ১০০ টাকা থেকে বেড়ে ১১৫ টাকা হয়েছে, অর্থাৎ লিটারে ১৫ টাকা বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। পাশাপাশি কেরোসিন ১১২ টাকা থেকে বেড়ে ১৩০ টাকা হয়েছে, এতে লিটারে ১৮ টাকা বেশি গুণতে হবে ভোক্তাকে।
অন্যদিকে প্রতি লিটার অকটেন ১২০ টাকা থেকে বেড়ে ১৪০ টাকা হয়েছে, এতে লিটারে সর্বোচ্চ ২০ টাকা বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। এছাড়া পেট্রোল ১১৬ টাকা থেকে বেড়ে ১৩৫ টাকা করা হয়েছে, যেখানে লিটারে ১৯ টাকা দাম বেড়েছে।
